Voltigeur vignette at 75%

Hi all

Just a picture of the voltigeur vignette. It's 75% done so I may be able to finish it this week end.

Hope you like it.

  1. Great work! You've captured the worn, in-battle look perfectly.

  2. Dear Oniria,

Congratulation to the path another masterclass work. Although we paint in different style, Jen and I are big fan of yours.

I'm curious if you build vignettes instead of large gaming army, why don't you choose larger subjects such as 54mm or larger like Bill Horan or Jaume Ortiz?

    Warm regard to you,

  3. Hi guys. Thanks for you comments.

VS: Well, the answer is simple: I like this scale and I'm pretty confortable working with it. As you have mentioned, this type of vignettes have already been done in 54mm by a lot of painters and modellers, but I think that they can also be done in 28mm (or even in 20mm). My goal with my Oniria Miniatures project is to be able to offer painters and/or modellers the possibility to create highly detailed vignettes in 28mm. There are already some good 28mm figures in the market, but I think the quality of the models must go one step ahead.
I'm a big fan of Bill Horan and it is obvious that his work has inlfuenced me a lot. On the other hand Jaume Ortiz is an awsome painter and his work is more based on a exquisitve technique, rather than Horan's more "theatrical" style.

    Thanks for you interest.
